O Christmas Tree (Brownie), O Christmas Tree

Well, bakers, it’s officially the last week of term! Just one last stretch to make it to the Christmas break. We hope you have all enjoyed being a member of Baking Society this term and want to come back in the new year. We’ve got some fantastic bakes lined up that we are so excited for. Our society has certainly been getting in the Christmas spirit this past week with our annual Christmas Meal and our Christmas tree brownie bake! I can’t think of anything better but a nice slice of brownie for some coursework writing motivation myself.

Last Thursday we headed to Greaves Park and enjoyed a delicious Christmas meal! From turkey dinners to festive burgers and crème brûlée cheesecakes to mince pie sundaes, it’s safe to say we were all having a very merry time. It was so lovely to for our exec to get to know you, our members, a bit more, and what better way to go about it than over a Christmassy meal to celebrate the end of term. Nothing bonds you like cringing over Christmas cracker jokes together. We hope everyone who came had a really lovely time. As per usual, a shoutout to our Social Sec Leah for yet another great event, but also to all my fellow exec, Kathryn, Liv, Emily, Ashley, Faye, Jen, and Vicky for making our society the best it can be! You’ve all outdone yourselves this term.

Now, all that’s left to say is, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We hope you have a restful break, and maybe even get some baking in here and there before we come back in 2024 for another great term.
