The Annual 9 Colleges Baking Competition

The 9 Colleges Baking Competition is an annual competition hosted by the Lancaster University Colleges and Baking Society.

The competition is an amazing opportunity to learn new skills and meet like-minded people within your college and compete against other colleges. The competition consists of 3 rounds: Savoury , Sweet and the Final Show Stopper round.

For the savoury and sweet round the possibilities are endless. There are no set criteria and you can bake whatever you like! You may want to show off your great pastry skills, bread skills, piping skills or present a bake from your own culture. You can either work individually or bake together in your team.

The final showstopper round will be on. You will be grouped into smaller teams from your college to create a bake that best represents your chosen theme. The winning team will be the team that impresses the judges the most.

The competition is a great way to represent your college, meet new people whilst also having the opportunity to win great prizes including personalised wooden spoons and Lancaster Award points!

Everyone who takes part will receive a personalised wooden spoon and there will be a prize of £25 for each member of the winning team!
