Goodbye From the 2023-24 Baking Society Exec

Hello bakers! We are now officially halfway through Summer Term 2023-24! I hope everyone is finding their way through exam season and keeping up those mental health breaks, hopefully with some baking. Reaching this point in the term means it’s time for this year’s Exec to handover to your brand-new Baking Soc Exec 2024-25, who I know are very excited to introduce themselves and get going with some fabulous bakes for the remainder of the term and into next year. We hope everyone who made chocolate fudge cake at yesterday’s bake enjoyed it, just as our 2023-24 Exec did as our final bake in charge!

This blog is simply a sign off from me as your Social Media Admin on behalf of myself and the rest of this year’s Exec. Seven of us have been running Baking Society for two years, one of us for three, so it is certainly a bittersweet time for us all to say goodbye to the society which has been such a wonderful, fulfilling, and of course delicious part of our university experience! We sincerely hope you’ve enjoyed the bakes and socials we’ve put on as an Exec. I sure know we have! A big thank you to our members for coming along each week. To those of you who are there each Saturday, it’s always a pleasure to see you. As Social Media Admin, I’m always happy when you drop a message to ask for the recipe so you can make the bakes again, because then we know for sure they have been a success! I have no doubt the successful bakes will continue, and even though our 2023-24 Exec will no longer bake in Fylde Common Room, we will without a doubt keep on baking!
