Hello bakers! We are absolutely flying through Lent Term- hope you’re all enjoying Baking Society so far in 2024. This first half of term has seen some stellar baking going on, from vegan cinnamon rolls to shortbread hearts this past week. With Valentine’s Day in the air, what better way of spreading the love than through some baking, am I right? To anyone whose reading this after having visited our stall at Refreshers, welcome to Baking Society! We hope to see you in Fylde common room on a Saturday really soon.

This week we had a fun and wholesome collab with Craft! A lovely way to start the week off by baking pancake tray bakes and making jewellery. Some of you went for blueberries in your traybakes, others Biscoff crumbs- all were looking delicious! There were also some gorgeous bracelets and earrings being made, including one spelling out ‘you got this’, a great reminder as we continue through the term. We hope everyone who came had a great time and thank you to Craft for such a successful event! Wholesome Lancaster University societies unite!

Still coming up this term, we have brownies, pizza, mini apple pie and mini egg cookie bars. See everyone there for our sold-out red velvet cookies this Saturday! Socials wise, we have a film night in Week 17 and bingo in Week 19- of course there will be prizes, too! Keep your eyes on our Instagram for details nearer the time. Happy baking! Also, for anyone interested in being on next year’s Exec (I highly recommend) information will become available in the coming weeks.
